Re: More information about Windows 10
Further to the last post, here is more feedback about Windows 10. Upon upgrading to Windows 10 from a previous version, it seems quite common for people in UK to find that their language settings have been changed so that US English is the default display language, and the time settings are US time....

More information about Windows 10
We've now had more experience and feedback about running LetSys with Windows 10. Everything is running very well indeed, and in some ways there are improvements. LetSys - and upgrading to Windows 10
LetSys was tested on Windows 10 some time back and will run fine on Windows 10. However, one thing to be aware of is that if you upgrade to Windows 10 from an earlier version, you may need to reinstall LetSys. One user reported that they upgraded their Windows 8 system to Windows 10, and could no lo...

Re: Email problem
This problem has now affected other LetSys users. In the most recent case it was caused by a re-installation of Outlook 2010. Once again, this was fixed by running the script CHECKMAPI.vbs This script (it is documented) checks and correct the registry settings needed to get MAPI to run. MAPI stands ...

Re: Email problem
Hi Alison, Apologies. I've only just seen this as the email notifying me of your post was rejected by 1&1 - I'm going to have to stop using them for email! You haven't separately called or emailed me so I am hoping that you resolved this yourself. Certainly, your husband's experience indicates it is...

Re: Does LetSys support Windows 8? Answer: YES.
Well, I was partly right. Microsoft has brought back a start menu for desktop users, and most things you might need to do are there, although the full start menu has not yet been restored. There are also numerous tools, some free, some moderately priced, to restore the old start menu and shell. Bren...

Re: Short breaks calculation problem
I understand this is working OK. Users wanting to understand more about how the short let rent calculation works can look for topic "Rent (for short lets)" Open up LetSys, and click Help and then Topic Search Type in "short lets" and then select topic Rent (for short lets) (or type all of that in th...

Re: Short breaks calculation problem
Hi Don, Try this: Make the fixed charge 30% Make the nightly charge 10% Make the minimum number of nights 3. Repeat this line so it applies to both weekday and weekend nights. You then get 60% of the rent for the first 3 (or less) nights and an extra 10% per night which I think is what you want. Don...
